Tactile Wall Panels and Tiles
Walls are blank canvasses until you add colour and texture to them. Adding our variety of unique tactile wall tiles and panels can turn walls into surfaces of stimulation and delight, especially for people with special needs.
All of these brightly coloured and beautifully crafted tiles and panels are the work of Mike Ayres, an award-winning designer who has specialized in multi-sensory products and experiences for the past 35 years.
Wall Tiles
Our wall tiles offer a range of contrasting textures, with raised and recessed areas and various shapes,
The 40-by-40-centimetre (or 15.7-by-15.7-inch) squares have special fixings that enable them to be attached to any wall. They are not only bright, attractive and sturdy, but offer good tactile contrast, whether installed individually or in groups.
You can place them close together or spread over a larger area, and change them up on the wall from time to time
Wall Panels
The beautifully designed and exciting wall panels are approximately 57 by 47 inches (or 144.8 by 119.4 cms) and offer a wide variety of stimulating surfaces, shapes and colours.
The panels offer more variation, including UV and LED reactivity so that they glow in the dark.

Tactile Panel No. 1
Basic Panel
A beautifully designed, well-manufactured and simple textured panel with 12 different tactile experiences securely fixed to the panel. Natural wood finish as standard, but can be made in other colours on request.
Size: 145 x 120 x 5 cm, thick.(57″ x 47″ x 2″ thick)

Tactile Panel No. 2
Ultraviolet Tactile Panel
Similar to Panel No. 1 but also designed for use with UV blacklight. It is a midnight blue panel with brightly coloured textures including fluorescent elements, which will make it glow brilliantly when lit with a UV blacklight.

Tactile Panel No. 3
Fibre Optic Light Tactile Panel
Combines tactile and strong visual experiences by intermingling 200 points of brightly coloured lights with the textures. The panel has integral switch plates that enable you to change the colour of the lights and, if used with a nine-switch keyboard, can select and mix specific colours.

Fibre Optic Light and UV Tactile Panel
This panel is the same as No. 3, but in midnight blue with fluorescent elements.

Tactile Panel No. 5
"Loopies" Tactile Panel
As well as a wide range of textures, this
panel includes a very strong visual tracking feature: the “Loopies” activity. Post plastic balls into the holes at the top and watch then tumble, disappear and reappear before emerging in the tray at the bottom.
Includes a pack of 10 balls.

Tactile Panel No. 6
Fibre Opic Lights and "Loopies" Tactile Panel
This panel is a combination of No. 3, with fibre optic lights, and No. 5, with the “Loopies” activity, making it a very exciting piece of equipment for people to explore and play with
